The Trading solution completely covers the process of securing the delivery of customers by purchasing commodities. Procedurally, these are individual steps such as consumption estimation, its prediction for the future, work with time series and their inclusion in the segment - portfolio. The portfolio and load profiles can be edited (smoothing, holidays, weekends, transformations) and subsequently set the conditions for buying/selling a given commodity in different markets (VDT - Intraday Market, DT - Daily Market, BT - Short-Term Market, TNF - Market with Unused Flexibility). The nomination process is conducted at OTE or another stock exchange with nomination reports between individual entities. The output is a view of the balance sheet, i.e. financial indicators of individual contracts and deals.
In the Time Series module, we can create different types of time series – metering, meteorological data, individual segments. We can edit such time series, aggregate their data, display them in charts with a linear or tabular list of data. We can adjust each time series as needed and change its progress.
The Load Profile module enables you to work with charts from basic mathematical operations (unary, binary, etc.) to complex transformations that can replace prediction tasks. The advantage of working in it is the possibility of various graphical views with the possibility to apply predefined and already created transformations. Thus, it is possible to 'program' the chart by simply composing functions in a row.
Adjusted time series are sorted into the so-called portfolio, for example, according to the type of segment or type of metering. As with elementary time series, we can look at the entire portfolio as a collection of load profiles with the possibility of editing them. Each time series has its own identification and summation information e.g. on the type of metering, data source, data from/to, etc.
Predictions can be applied by an internal curve, which we interpolate with other time series, or by mathematical operations and transformations in the Load Profile module. Predictions can be long-term and short-term, so-called operational, which are applied to a given portfolio. The output is then a purchase plan.
In the context of the realization of individual purchases/contracts, these relationships are managed in the system. The basis is therefore contracts (EFET - European Federation of Energy Traders, Subjects of Settlement, etc.) which specify the scope of purchase/sale products for individual counterparties.
As part of the Trading solution, there is a bidding procedure between various counterparties for the supply of a given commodity in a certain volume. Thus, the system draws attention to the necessary or created bids for the required amount of commodity. This is followed by the process of nomination or acceptance of the given bid.
Trading books module summarizes all contracts that have been made with the ability to track books at different levels – for a commodity, for a book, for a particular contract.
A system-wide summary task that displays the consumption plan (by segment type), purchased commodity across time (gas day, hour) while demonstrating the ability to purchase/sell with the counterparties in individual markets (VDT, DT, TNF).
